AURORAE YOGI TIPS
· Wash your mat down with a soft brush and a tablespoon of dish washing liquid or detergent then rinse off. Do this in the shower if you can't do outside then hang over shower rod to dry. Repeat if necessary.
· Hang dry outside in the sun if possible. DO NOT PUT IN DRYER. Your mat must be absolutely dry before use.
· To keep your mat clean and fresh, spray Aurorae Yoga Mat Wash directly onto mat and let soak then wipe dry. Do as needed after use.
This will disinfect, restore and keep your mat fresh and clean.
· Wash your hands with soap and water before class to reduce any natural oils in your hands.
· Do not use creams or oils on your hands or feet before your practice.
· Always keep a cotton towel* (available by Aurorae) near you to wipe away any perspiration.
· If necessary use an Aurorae Yoga Rosin Bag to absorb any perspiration and increase gripping power.

The mat is comfortable and a nice size. My last mat from another brand was much more slippery and had a bit of a smell which this mat does not seem to have.

By S. HendrixMy husband and I recently started Yoga practice and bought two of these mats. Since we're newbies we have nothing to compare them to except the studio mats but, needless to say, they are MUCH more comfortable than those. We love the extra length since we are both on the tall side and the extra cushioning is great.
There is the slippery factor to contend with as many of the other reviewers mentioned. I washed them 4 or 5 times which helped quite a bit but when the sweat starts pouring the hands still start slipping. Wound up getting a mat-sized Yogitoes towel for my husband so he's a very happy camper now - comfortable and not slipping. I still slip a bit now and then on mine but it's getting better with each use.
All in all a great mat, especially for us beginers!

By Erin HugusMy husband and I each ordered a mat, and we love them! These mats provide just enough padding and they are extra long. Also, they do not smell like chemicals. The first few times of use, I did slip a bit but I ran the mats through a cycle in my washing machine with mild detergent and this fixed the slipping problem.
